Top-Notch Tips for Savers

A report by Book of Tales' bookkeeper

He who saves by depriving and starving himself
is already paying the price
for his own stinginess.

And he who treats himself bad and mean
to whom will he be any good?
Nobody is worse than he who treats himself badly.

Enjoy what's there.
Don't let your share of happiness pass you by.
Don't let a happy day slip away
for no pleasure can be found in death.

But should not some possessions be gathered for another to inherit?

Give to your friend,
the one you hold dear and near,
that what's in your hand and heart
before you die.
Based on The Book of Sirach, 14:4-16
