Paradise

I read today about a beautiful land completely surrounded by the sea. High mountains fringe its coastline and below the wooded slopes lie deep valleys, fertile plains and marshy bogs.
Sheep and their lamb wander through its mountains. Cows graze on the plains and bees hum among the heather in the bogs. Its rivers are full of fish and the woods ring loud with birdsong. The land is not overcrowded and the weather is comfortable. Not too hot in summer nor too cold in winter. So, crops grow abundantly.
This lovely land can give you everything you need. Milk, honey, salmon and grains to eat and room to live. They call it Ireland.
I call it home.
