The Hermit

Once during his long and many travels Braveheart met a hermit.
This is what the hermit said:
"He, who leads a solitary life and prefers the view of a big old tree above the sight of human facades, might forget that the tree is also
a living soul and a majestic one for that matter.
He, who leads a solitary life and prefers the company of a dog above humans, might forget that the dog is also a living soul and a noble one for that matter.
He, who leads a solitary life, maybe in the sole company of a dog and
a tree, might forget how happy he is."
